I am an aquatic ecologist specialised in ecosystem functioning and taxonomic and functional diversity of zooplankton communities in small freshwater ecosystems. My research focuses on understanding the effects of human-driven global change on biodiversity and ecosystem processes.

Exciting news!

  • 09/07/2026 - WaterLand has been funded from the DEGENT funding scheme. I will start my own group at CIDE-CSIC in Valencia, Spain on January 1st 2027. Have a look at the project!
  • 30/05/2026 - Our manuscript in Nature Ecology and Evolution has been accepted, pending editing and formatting: "Biodiversity enhances pond ecosystem multifunctionality across Europe".
  • 23/03/2026 - We obtained the DIMFE project!. We have been awarded 134.000€ for the restoration of 8 Mediterranean ponds in the Sierra Cavallera Natural Park, Catalonia. Starting in July 2026 More info.
